Thanks for the excellent review, 3D Printing Professor! We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear we hit the mark for you.

This is why I have to get out more. You only meet cool people like the ones at Scan Dimension when you get out of the house.

Remember, if I don’t say “I recommend it”, I’m probably being nice, but I don’t think you should have one. Not so with the SOL Scanner. This scanner I can actually recommend.

There was a scanner that I forgot to mention in this review. That’s my Kinect Scanner. The thing is, the Kinect scanner works just fine, but it’s hard to source and hard to setup. It works, but I don’t know if I can recommend it. It’s best for taking full-body scans that you’re not going to print small, so you don’t notice all the details that are lost.

I could probably recommend the EinScanner if you have the money for it. Just brace yourself for a bad setup experience. Then again, that may have just been me. I tend to attract all the technical problems. The EinScanner admittedly makes better scans, but you still can’t take a scan and print it out straight away… unless it’s like a rubber duck that you don’t care if the copies aren’t rubber.
